Football London said more than one squad will not be present when Chelsea marches to Crystal Palace’s stadium.

Chelsea will be without Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling against Crystal Palace in midweek in the Premier League. In the second half of the defeat to Wolves on Christmas Eve, both attackers received their fifth yellow cards of the season and will be suspended for one match.

Palmer kicked the ball away after an unfavorable decision by the referee and was booked for his reaction. Meanwhile, Sterling was given a yellow penalty for diving and he will not be present in the match against The Eagles.

Lesley Ugochukwu returned after an injury layoff, but the young Frenchman was forced off in the second half at Molineux as he appeared to have another muscle problem. We still don’t know the extent of Ugochukwu’s injury but he will definitely miss the midweek match.

Moises Caicedo fell ill during the trip to the West Midlands and did not travel with the rest of the team. Enzo Fernandez was also absent due to injury, but he was also present in the Molineux stands.

Ben Chilwell is about to return but the England international will not be ready for the clash with Palace. Similarly, Robert Sanchez is rushing to recover but the Spanish goalkeeper will still sit out the match at Stamford Bridge.

Long-term injuries Trevoh Chalobah, Carney Chukwuemeka, Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana and Reece James are all absent. Mauricio Pochettino’s squad will be shuffled once again as Chelsea’s clash with Palace is the second in the space of six days in a busy Christmas fixture schedule.
