Al-Hilal is unstoppable! The Saudi Pro League champions ended the season undefeated despite star player Neymar’s long-term absence due to injury.

Early this morning on May 28, in the final round of the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League, defending champions Al Hilal (already crowned champions) concluded their season with a 2-1 victory over Al Wehda.

Al Hilal’s victory means they have officially become the second club to win the domestic league title unbeaten this season, following Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga.

Specifically, in the Saudi Pro League 2023/24 season, after 34 rounds, Al Hilal accumulated a total of 96 points, with 31 wins and 3 draws, accompanied by an impressive goal difference of 78. Jorge Jesus’s squad scored 101 goals and conceded only 23 times, the least in the league.

This is Al Hilal’s 19th Saudi Pro League title in their history, further enriching the remarkable achievements of the Riyadh-based club in green, solidifying their position as the most successful club in Saudi Arabia.

Notably, Jorge Jesus’s team was composed of stars who were not necessarily top-rated, apart from Neymar, who could not contribute significantly due to an ACL injury early in the season.

In addition, there is a bittersweet note for Al Hilal in this championship, concerning Aleksandar Mitrovic. Despite his outstanding performance and consistent goal-scoring form throughout the season with 28 goals in 34 matches, the Serbian striker still couldn’t surpass Cristiano Ronaldo, who clinched the Saudi Pro League top scorer title with 34 goals this season.
