Saka is unexpected absence in the final round of the 2023/24 Premier League season has raised concerns among many English fans as Euro 2024 approaches.

In the 38th round of the Premier League, Arsenal’s lineup surprisingly missed the key figure Bukayo Saka. Many doubts arose as Euro 2024 drew near, and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta provided a brief answer to address concerns about the 22-year-old star’s injury.

Arteta revealed to the media that Saka had encountered a minor muscle issue during training, stating: “Unfortunately, he picked up a small muscle injury in training. He’s unavailable for the match, but luckily, we have some fantastic players, [Gabriel] Martinelli is ready to step in.”

The latest fitness issue with Saka has raised some concerns about his chances of playing for the England national team at Euro 2024, as Gareth Southgate prepares to announce the preliminary squad on May 21. However, speaking in a press conference after the match, the Spanish coach responded decisively with a simple “yes” when asked whether the English winger would be ready for the European Championship this summer.

This news surely comes as a relief to Southgate, as Saka is a favored component in the attacking scheme of the English manager.
